Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation (UEFISCDI) is a public institution with legal personality under the subordination of the Ministry of National Education (MEN) and functional MEN advisory councils with responsibilities in higher education, scientific research, development and innovation.
Its mission is to promote quality leadership for higher education, research, development and innovation.
UEFISCDI is in charge with:
- Management of the activities of the executive councils with advisory powers in higher education, scientific research, development and innovation;
- Coordination, under the scientific guidance, of councils and programs of the National Plan for Research, Development and Innovation (PNCDI II);
- Designing and implementation of projects and institutional system on higher education, research, development and innovation.
